Mon, 2nd Exhibition – Indonesia: Ultimate in Diversity. The Indonesian embassy displays its cultural and art collections at the Franco-Namibian Cultural Centre (FNCC) in Windhoek until the 7th. The exhibition also includes photographs taken by Namibian tourists to Indonesia (061 38 7330). Exhibition – Noel Pelegrin hosts a photographic exhibition entitled Reveal at Studio 77 in Windhoek until the 17th (061 25 2800).* Thu, 5th Music – Namibia’s Tchitula Brothers perform live at the Zenso Lounge (Gutenberg Platz) every Thursday at 19:00 (081 347 6830). Fri, 6th Market – The annual Christmas Market in aid of the Cancer Association takes place in the Walvis Bay Town Hall (064 20 4864). Performance – The Fungu Fungu Performing Arts Village together with their band, hosts a production at Studio 77 at 20:00 (081 366 1133).* Sat, 7th Festival – The Annual Damara Festival at Okombahe takes place until the 8th (081 201 1160). Festival – The third annual Desert Soul (holistic and alternative) Festival takes place at the Waldorf School in Windhoek until the 8th. Gates open at 09:00 until 22:00 on Saturday and 18:00 on Sunday (061 24 2499). Toy Run – The Live to Ride Motorcycle Club hosts this annual event to collect and distribute toys and gifts to less-privileged children. The mass ride departs at 10:00 from the train station to the Live to Ride Clubhouse in the southern industrial area (081 128 8812). Biomarket – Organic vegetables, freshly baked bread and home-made products at 3 Uhland Street in Klein Windhoek from 09:00 to 12:00 every Saturday (061 23 9555). Guided walk – At the National Botanical Gardens in Windhoek starting at 08:00 (061 202 2020). Mon, 9th Golf – MTC and the Namibia Professional Golf Association host the Sunshine Golf Tour at the Rossmund Golf Club outside Swakopmund until the 15th (064 40 5644). Tue, 8th Exhibition – Perceptions in Perspective, a bold collection of black-and-white photographs by students of Djunior Svane at the FNCC until the 19th (061 38 7330). Tue, 10th Film – The documentary Elefanten im Okavango by Immo Böhlko is screened at the Namibia Scientific Society in Windhoek at 19:30 (061 22 5372). Wed, 11th Theatre – A Friend in Need at the National Theatre of Namibia in Windhoek at 20:00. A second show takes place on the 12th (061 37 4404).
Thu, 12th Total Tara Rally – The annual rally kicks off at the SKW in Olympia at 19:30. At 20:00 on Friday the 13th the competitors race at the Tony Rust Track and on Saturday the 14th, the rally starts at 08:00 with stages around Windhoek (061 23 5521).
Fri, 13th Reading – Oscar Wilde’s tale, The Happy Prince, read by Freda zu Castell at the Stephanus Church in Windhoek’s Uhland Street 19:30. She is accompanied by Ulrich Busch on the guitar (061 22 5700). Performance – Jill Richards in Concert, contemporary piano music with a strong African character at the College of the Arts concert hall at 20:00 (081 281 8620).* Sat, 14th Triathlon – At the Hardap Dam outside Mariental (081 127 1634). Mon, 16th Exhibition – The Helga Mertens Art & Craft Studio hosts its annual child-art exhibition at the Bank Windhoek Omba Gallery until the 27th (061 24 2222).* Tue, 17th Exhibition – The Arts Association Heritage Trusts hosts a John Muafangejo Commemorative Exhibition in the National Art Gallery, in recognition of the 22 years since the artist’s death on 27 November 1987. The exhibition continues until 30 April 2010 (061 23 1160).*

Thu, 19th Exhibition – Paintings by Christine Marais and Roger Swart at Studio 77 until the 28th (061 25 2800).* Performance – Sixteen traditional children’s stories performed by the Department of African Performing Artists in the Courtyard Theatre of the College of the Arts at 18:00 until the 21st (061 372 100).* Sat, 21st Motocross – The Freestyle MX World Championship 'Night of the Jumps' as from 14:00, with 13 of the world’s top freestyle riders competing in Windhoek. Venue: TBA (085 555 3849). Fashion show – Merge. A fashion show hosted by Namibian designers Chakirra Claasen and Melanie Harteveld-Becker at the FNCC at 20:00.
